报告人简介: Luis A.Caffarelli是美国德克萨斯大学奥斯汀分校教授、美国科学院院士。他在Navier-Stokes方程、完全非线性椭圆和非线性抛物型方程、非线性蒙日-安培方程等方面做出了杰出成就，获得了国际同行高度赞誉。他于1982年获Stampacchia奖，1984年获Bocher奖，2005年获瑞典科学院颁发的Rolf Schock奖，在2002年国际数学家大会上做1小时邀请报告，2012年荣获沃尔夫奖。
报告题目：Fully nonlinear equations of Grad type
摘要：Harold Grad introduced in connection to Plasma Physics, equations of the form:
Laplacian (u(x)) = h(|{ u > u(x) }|)
We consider the case in which the Laplacian is substituted by fully nonlinear equations from optimal control: F(D^2 (u)), its properties and geometry.
This is work in collaboration with Ignacio Tomasetti.
