题目：Adding Functionalities to 2D Materials Family

报告摘要：In this talk, Professor Wang will discuss in details the unique behaviors associated with the reduced dimensionality, such as negative piezoelectric response. The addition of ferroelectricity to the 2D materials family opens up possibilities for novel applications, including sensors, actuators, non-volatile memory devices, and various heterostructures based on 2D ferroelectricity. More importantly, CuInP₂S₆ can serve as the parent compound, from which we can obtain other 2D materials with unique functional properties, even multiferroicity.

王峻岭教授简介，新加坡南洋南理工大学。1999年本科毕业于南京大学，2005年于美国马里兰大学获得博士学位，随后在宾夕法尼亚州立大学从事了一年半的博士后研究工作，于2006年成为新加坡南洋理工大学助理教授，2017年获升教授。王峻岭教授的研究兴趣集中在复合功能薄膜及其在纳米器件和自旋器件上的应用，特别是ABX3钙钛矿结构材料，此类材料包含了一系列奇特的性质，从绝缘体到超导体，从介电到铁电乃至多铁。迄今，他已在Science，Nature Communications，NPG Asia Materials， Advanced Materials，PRB 和APL等杂志发表170余篇文章，引用次数超过10000次。
